ELLSWORTH — The Ellsworth Eagles opened their volleyball season with a 3-0 win over the Calais Blue Devils on Tuesday afternoon in Ellsworth.
Game scores for the Eagles were 25-13, 25-22 and 25-12.
For Ellsworth, Sarah Sheldon had a game-high 10 kills to go with 4 aces and 2 blocks; Morgan Barkhouse was 27 for 29 serving with 6 aces; and Katherine Jordan had 4 kills and 7 assists.
