BLUE HILL — Mark Hurvitt of Blue Hill and Colleen Maynard of Southwest Harbor took top honors in the first At Home Downeast Tennis Round Robin held Saturday at the Blue Hill Country Club.
The mixed doubles tournament featured 40 players from throughout Eastern Maine, all playing with various partners through the day-long event. Major sponsors included Blue Hill Memorial Hospital, Healthy Peninsula, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, EBS and WoodenBoat. The round robin raised funds for At Home Downeast, part of the Washington Hancock Community Agency. The program provides vital services so that aging community members can remain in their homes as long as possible. Services are offered in nine towns from Stonington to Surry.
