MDI: Trojan Tennis Ends

CAMDEN — In the preliminary round of Class B tennis, the Camden Hills Windjammers halted the Mount Desert Island tennis teams’ hopes of advancing in the post season. Both the boys and the girls lost by a score of 3-2.

Trojan senior Jeremy Hyde defeated Windjammer Ari Salas 6-3, 6-4. “Jeremy started the season really hot, playing great “To end his career with a victory was great for him,” said head coach Ben Rowell.

In the marathon match of the day, Camden’s Julia Kosowsky prevailed over MDI’s Jessica Swanson 6-4, 4-6, 6-1. “She was disappointed at the end, but it just showed how much she wanted to win that match,” said Coach Rowell.
