BAR HARBOR — Everyone got a good workout in a high-scoring game July 31 between women’s softball teams sponsored by Mainely Meat and Gordius Garage. The game was one of the last of the summer season. Gordius won by a final score of 18-8.

Melissa Gott hit a triple for Gordius in the bottom of the first. Joy O’Shaughnessy and Steph Lewis notched runs for Mainely Meat in the top of the second, batted in by Cammie Phalen.

Four runs for Gordius in the bottom of the third and one for Mainely Meat in the top of the fourth tied it up at 5-5. Then Gordius started pulling ahead, though both teams repeatedly loaded the bases in the second half of the game.
