SULLIVAN — The Sumner Tigers made their last game of the season a good one, pounding out 10 hits in an 11-8 win over the Washington Academy Raiders on Wednesday.
Sarah Leighton had a monster game at the plate for the Tigers with a grand slam homer, a solo homer and two singles.
Emily Leighton and Clarissa West also contributed run-scoring singles in a four-run sixth inning for Sumner.
The Raiders made a comeback bid in the top of the seventh, scoring four runs before Sumner righthander Ashley Pennartz recorded the final out of the game.
Andi Flannery singled twice and Bre Nicely and Brianne Corey had triples for the Raiders.
The Tigers ended their season ranked 11th in Eastern Maine Class C with a record of 5-11.
