CASTINE — Seth Brown, a 1998 graduate of Maine Maritime Academy, will return to his alma mater to coach women’s soccer this fall.

A Searsport native, Brown spent the past three years as managing director of Seacoast United.

Prior to that, he coached men’s soccer at Husson University from 2006 to 2010, winning two regular season North Atlantic Conference titles and the conference tournament championship, with an NCAA berth, in 2009.

He also coached women’s soccer at Rocky Mountain College in Montana and at the University of Mary in North Dakota.

Brown also will be in charge of Student-Athlete Affairs, a newly created role responsible for supporting services aimed at ensuring success and personal development for MMA students.

“The opportunity to return to MMA and to be a part of a growing and committed athletic department is an honor,” said Brown. “I look forward to helping each player accomplish her academic and soccer goals.”
