Shelby Redman of the Bucksport Golden Bucks pushes the ball ahead as she is pursued by Emily Leighton (18) and Savana Turner (8) of the Sumner Tigers.

SULLIVAN — Sadie Wight had a hat trick and provided a pair of assists as the Bucksport Golden Bucks rolled over the Sumner Tigers 7-1 on Saturday.

Mindy Pye drew first blood for the Golden Bucks less than three minutes into the game, scoring off a pass from Kacie Hurd.

Savana Turner got the equalizer for Sumner off a pass from Sequoia Johnson.

But the Golden Buck defense shut down the Tigers the rest of the way.

Pye finished with two goals and Alanna Davis and Andi Lawford each scored for Bucksport as the Golden Bucks evened their record at 4-4.

Bucksport goalkeeper Bailey Blair had four saves on nine shots, and Deanna Watson, Jordan Merchant and Jessica West combined for 14 saves on 35 shots for the Tigers.
