BAR HARBOR — The Mount Desert Island High School varsity girls soccer team beat Caribou in a home game Saturday afternoon by a score of 2-1.

The Caribou game brings the Trojans to sixth place in the league, with a 3-1-1 record for the season so far.

Caribou had 8 total shots. Hannah Shaw made six saves for MDI, including an essential one in the last three minutes.

MDI also won their first game with George Stevens Academy this season, an away game Sept. 18. The score was 7-1.

The Trojans will face Presque Isle again, at home this time, Oct. 1, and host Old Town Oct. 3.
