Bad Luck Costs Lady Eagles Against Red Riots

BLUE HILL — A ball that went off a GSA player and into the Orono goal lifted the Red Riots to a 2-1 win over the Eagles on Thursday.

A goal by Alex Crocker had put Orono in front less than five minutes into the game.

GSA’s Richelle Kane knotted the score at 1-1 with an unassisted goal at the 29:30 mark of the second half.

Hannah Billings made 17 saves on 28 shots in goal for the Eagles, and Jade Keezer and Taylor Gray combined for six saves on seven shots for Orono.
