Bridge the Gap on April 10

ELLSWORTH — The fifth annual Bridge the Gap series of races across the Penobscot Narrows Bridge in Prospect will take place Sunday, April 10.

Three races will be held: the one-mile Fun Run, a 5K out-and-back race and a 10-mile loop around Verona Island.

All races will start at Fort Knox and finish at the Verona Island Picnic Area. A shuttle bus will transport runners back to their cars.

All finishers will receive a medal.

Registration costs for the 10-mile race are $30 before April 1 and $40 on race day and, for the 5K, $15 before April 1 and $20 on race-day.

Only pre-registered runners get a T-shirt.

Packet pick-up and race-day registrations will take place from 8 to 9:30 a.m., and races will start at 10.
