    BAR HARBOR — The Twilight Leagues got their rounds in this past week. In the Men’s “A” side, there was a tie between Tim Ray and Chris Cambridge for first place, with both posting a score of +5. Alex Wade was on their heels with a +4 in second, while Troy Lewis and Scott Allen

  • Nonprofit Putt Off

    BAR HARBOR — Pirates of all ages will have the chance for fun playing golf on Saturday, May 30 at 9 a.m. at Pirate’s Cove, which received a 2009 Best of Maine award from Down East magazine as “the best miniature golf course in Maine.” The morning of family fun will benefit the Eden Nursery School and the community service projects of Bar Harbor (MDI) Rotary. Registration for the tournament starts at 8:30 a.m. and play begins at 9 a.m. The event will include a 50/50 raffle with half of the proceeds benefiting the two nonprofits and the other half going to the winner of the drawing. There also will be a grand prize drawing for all participants.

    BAR HARBOR — A golf scramble tournament is slated at the Kebo Valley Golf Club on Saturday, May 16, to benefit summer basketball league play.

  • Bunyan is Coming

    BAR HARBOR — The Paul Bunyan Amateur Golf Tournament, will enjoy its 45th year of competition at two of Maine’s most storied golf clubs. Kebo Valley Club in Bar Harbor and Penobscot Valley Country Club in Orono are to host “The Bunyan” this year on Saturday June 6 and Sunday June 7.

    BAR HARBOR — Bar Harbor Bank & Trust has chosen the YWCA of Mount Desert Island to be the beneficiary of the 16th Annual David R. Harding Memorial Golf Tournament to be played on May 20 at Kebo Valley Golf Club in Bar Harbor.
