BUCKSPORT — The Bucksport Golden Bucks snapped a three-game losing skid with a resounding 39-8 win over the Rockland Tigers on Friday.
The Golden Bucks scored in every period with Vincent Tymoczko, Alex Giosia and Brandon Flegel each notching a pair of touchdowns.
Bucksport took a 13-0 first-period lead as Tymoczko scored on a 19-yard run and Giosia capped another drive with a one-yard plunge.
The Golden Bucks added seven more points in the second period when Flegel turned an eight-yard pass from Mike Cummings into a touchdown.
In the third quarter, Tymoczko raced 29 yards for a touchdown and Giosia got his second on an 11-yard run, making the score 33-0.
Flegel capped the Buckpsort scoring with a 60-yard interception return for a touchdown in the fourth period.
Rockland’s only score came in the last quarter when Jake Ortiz got loose for a 48-yard touchdown run.
Tymoczko had a big game for the Golden Bucks, rushing for 210 yards, and Giosia added another 42 yards on the ground.
Cummings completed eight of 13 passes for 110 yards.
Rockland’s Ortiz rushed for 144 yards on 20 carries.
The 1-3 Golden Bucks will travel to Belfast on Saturday to face the Mount View Mustangs at 1 p.m.
