AFL 5th and 6th Graders Defeat EFL

LAMOINE — The Acadia Football League Acadians played a hard-fought, very physical game against Ellsworth on Saturday. Colby Lee scored on a 65-yard touchdown for the team and rushed more than 100 yards. Andrew Phelps had one rushing touchdown. Drew Shea had one receiving touchdown.

“I am extremely proud of our players, coaches, and fans. We played the game in monsoon conditions, despite some displays of questionable sportsmanship by our opponents (several unsportsmanlike 15-yard penalties). The Trojan players, coaches and fans represented our community with class, dignity and excellent sportsmanship,” said head coach Scott Phelps.

This was the Acadians’ fourth straight win.
