ORONO — Seven Mount Desert Island Trojan girls finished just 63 seconds apart, taking seven of the first eight positions in girls’ cross-country action hosted by the Orono Red Riots on Friday.
MDI’s Maggie Painter was the overall winner with a time of 19 minutes and 43.95 seconds over the 2.76-mile course.
Painter was followed by Nora Hubbell, second in 20:07.80; Olivia Erickson, third in 20:17.65; Malia Demers, fifth in 20:35.59; Caroline Driscoll, sixth in 20:38.42; Isabel Erickson, seventh in 20:41.25 and Rachel McMinnimy, eighth in 20:46.51.
