The Power of Pink

ELLSWORTH — Forty-five youngsters attending an Ellsworth pee-wee cheering camp did their part to help raise money for the Power of Pink Day, bringing in $180 to help support the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center in Ellsworth.

On Thursday, almost every youngster was wearing something in pink to help raise awareness about breast cancer.

The group of young cheerleaders in grades 3-5 also will be participating in the Komen Race for the Cure in September.

Any community member or business wishing to donate to their “Power of Pink Campaign” or to the pee-wee cheering program can contact Kelli Mitchell at 479-3630.
