Tigers Down Knights

HARRINGTON — Brett Deniger and Matt Dyer combined for nearly half of Sumner’s points as the Tigers opened their season with a 51-43 win over the Narraguagus Knights on Saturday.

The Tigers trailed 20-17 at halftime but scored 18 points in the third period and moved in front 35-32.

Sumner continued its surge in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Knights 16-9 in the final eight minutes.

Deniger finished with 14 points and Dyer added 10 for the Tigers.

Steve Strout led all scorers with 19 points for Narraguagus.
