Sumner Scores Second Win



SULLIVAN — The Sumner Tigers picked up their second win of the season and avenged an earlier defeat as they downed the Bucksport Golden Bucks 58-43 on Thursday.

Bucksport took a 10-7 lead in the first period by the Tigers pulled in front with a 17-8 second period run and made the lead stand up the rest of the way.

For the 2-4 Tigers, Tylor Martin had a strong game with 18 points and 12 rebounds, Allen Doughty scored 18 points, Sam Smith had 13 points and Tristan Rayner contributed 11 assists.

The Golden Bucks hot 12 points from Jimmy Osgood and 11 from Mitchell Burgess, and Josh Gray and Chris Chaffee chipped in with eight each.
