BAR HARBOR — The Trojan freshman boys continued their winning ways, taking a victory over Sumner on Wednesday.
It was a very tight game with MDI leading 24-21 at halftime. After a few adjustments, MDI came out strong.
Chris Clemens scored 11 points (a career high), with 7 of them coming in the first half while in foul trouble. Max Mason scored 10 points (also a career high), in the second half to help the Trojans pull away. His three-point play where he got fouled on a lay-up provided the final blow.
“Overall I was really proud of play of Max, Chris and the guards. I don’t call on these guys to score, but to make sure their men don’t score,” Coach Pooler said.
