ELLSWORTH — George Stevens Academy boys’ basketball coach Dwayne Carter was recognized as one of the McDonald’s All-Star Class C/D North coaches.
Carter coached GSA to its first state championship in 13 years this season.
Nine local basketball players were also named to McDonald’s Senior All-Star teams.
Class AA/A/B North girls: Madison Card of Ellsworth; Sierra Tapley and Kelsey Shaw of Mount Desert Island.
Class C/D North girls: Ally Eaton of Deer Isle-Stonington; Kelli Kennedy of Narraguagus.
Class C/D North boys: Tyler Pye and Riley MacLeod of Bucksport; Nicholas Szwez and Will Entwisle of George Stevens Academy.
