HAMPDEN — The Hampden Riverdogs rolled to a doubleheader sweep over the Trenton Acadians on Saturday, winning the first game 8-4 and the second 12-8.
In the opener, Jesse Dow went the distance on the mound for Trenton, scattering seven hits.
But three of those hits were home runs by Hampden’s Matt Palmer, who drove in six runs.
Josiah Brazier also doubled and singled to drive in two runs for Hampden.
Josh Gale had a two-run homer and Mike Crowley a solo homer for the Acadians.
In the second game, Hampden’s Palmer drove in four more runs with a pair of singles and Derrick Bernosky had three singles.
For Trenton, Devin Young drove in two runs with a double and a single, O’Neil tripled with three RBI and Crowley had three singles.
