ELLSWORTH — Lefthander Adam Kaspala pitched a five-inning no-hitter with six strikeouts as the Eagles romped to a 14-0 win over the Tigers on Monday.

Walks to Brad Folmer and Pat Kelley and a two-run double by Mickey Manning in the first innings provided all the runs Kaspala would need.

But that was just the beginning as three Tiger pitchers all had their troubles against the potent Ellsworth offense.

The Eagles pushed the lead to 8-0 in the second inning as Tiger starter Joe Simmons walked the bases full, then gave up an RBI groundout to Folmer, a run-scoring single to Kelley, a two-run double to Manning, an RBI triple to Kaspala and an RBI single to Jordan Carter.

Ellsworth added three more runs in the third on a single by Dana Austin, and RBI doubles by Kelley, Manning and Carter.

Three more runs crossed the plate in the bottom of the fourth on a singles by Austin and John Carlin, a two-run throwing error and an RBI single by Kaspala.
