Eagles Rally Not Enough to Beat Minutemen

MILLINOCKET — The GSA Eagles rallied from a 3-1 deficit with runs in the sixth and seventh innings, but a pair of defensive miscues by GSA in the bottom of the seventh gave the Minutemen the winning run.

Both pitchers turned in strong performances with GSA’s Jesse Down allowing just six hits and Stearns’ Aaron Cyr allowing five hits and striking out 10.

Schuyler Van der Eb drove in a run with a pair of singles, Josh Jones singled twice, Cameron Lawson tripled and Nick Kane had a sacrifice fly for GSA.
