Bucks Get Sweep in Presque Isle

PRESQUE ISLE — The Bucksport Golden Bucks prevailed 12-9 in a 25-hit first game slugfest in Saturday’s doubleheader with the Presque Isle Wildcats.

Evan Eldridge went the distance on the mound for the Bucks, giving up 10 hits while driving in two runs with two doubles and a single.

Billy DeRedin also drove in two runs with a pair of singles and Tyler McAllian had a double and a single to drive in two runs.

Righthander Tim Nason turned in a stellar effort on the mound in the 3-1 first game win, giving up just five hits and striking out four for Bucksport.

Nason also drove in an insurance run with a single in the sixth inning.

Ryan Bailey doubled twice and singled and McAllian drove in a run with two singles for the Bucks.
