Acadians Down Motor City

BLUE HILL — The Trenton Acadians followed Saturday’s double header sweep on Sunday with a 6-2 win over Motor City of Bangor, upping their record to 5-3 for the season so far.

The Acadians got another strong pitching performance from righthander Pete Dickinson on Sunday as he allowed just three hits in his complete game outing.

Trenton jumped in front early with three runs in the second inning and added two more in the third.

Chase Bickford had a two-run homer and an RBI double to lead the Acadians’ eight-hit attack.

Jordan Carter also doubled and singled, driving in a run, and Nick Saunders had two singles with an RBI for Trenton.

Phil Benoit, John Johnson and Casey Estes each singled for Motor City.
