    ELLSWORTH — More than 250 young gymnasts will be on hand at Ellsworth High School this weekend for the 2009 YMCA Pine Tree Gymnastics League State Championships.     BOSTON — Evan Graves, formerly of Bar Harbor and now residing in Caribou, pounded the pavement for nearly three and a half minutes less than he did last year at the Boston Marathon on Monday, April 20. His place was the top finish for Mainers where he came in 32nd overall with a time of 2:26:11 versus last year’s time of 2:29:39.

    BAR HARBOR — Hoping to build on the success of the indoor season, the Mount Desert Island High School outdoor track team has been going through the preseason paces. Many of the same teams that MDI competed against during the winter will be strong this spring.
