Registration open for dodge ball league

ELLSWORTH — Union Square is getting ready to launch its second annual adult co-ed dodge ball league.

Teams will face off at the Moore Community Center, where there will be an open gym to learn more on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 6 p.m.

The league is capped at 12 teams. Teams need a minimum of six players and a maximum of 12 and must have at least two female players. Eligible participants must be 18 years of age prior to the start of the program. Registration is $150 per team.

Official league games will start on Wednesday, Feb. 10, and 30-minute matches will be held weekly on Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. A schedule will be provided to the teams after registrations are complete.

Union Square — a program of the Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce —also hosts the annual Halloween-themed Dead Run at Woodlawn Museum and, in 2015, launched a city-wide scavenger hunt call the Golden Keg Hunt.
