MMA names senior woman administrator

Tricia Carver-Watson, head volleyball and softball coach at Maine Maritime Academy, also will serve as the athletic department’s senior woman administrator.

In that role, Carver-Watson will help shape policy and assist in the daily operations of MMA’s athletic department. She also will provide assistance with planning and managing the department budget and oversight of the budget as it relates to gender equity.

Her role will expand to include athletic compliance responsibilities in the 2014-2015 academic year when her coaching load is reduced to volleyball alone.

MMA offers 11 NCAA sports and competes in NCAA Division III. The academy is a North Atlantic Conference member in 10 sports and competes in the New England Football Conference.
