Falcons JV Boys Defeat Orono

ORONO — The Ellsworth JV boys competed at Orono on Monday, for their first away game of the season.

The Falcons started out strong controlling the ball in the midfield and netted the first goal of the game with an unassisted goal by Bradly Smith.

Orono came right back to tie the game 1 – 1.

The Ellsworth defense was more determined to work together and communicate and was able to keep Orono scoreless for the rest of the game…Great job Jack Lee, Dylan Taplin, Orion Fellis, Travis Leighton, & Sam Pelletier.

Ellsworth scored two more goals in the first half thanks to Camden Holmes and Sam Giffin and an assist from Riley Grindle.

The Falcons tallied their final goal in the second half with a goal from Hunter Dougherty.

Excellent job gentlemen! You certainly exceeded your defensive team goal in the second half and it was so nice to see the team collectively work together on defense!
