Ellsworth JV Boys Defeat Doughty 4 – 0

BANGOR — The Ellsworth Falcons boys J.V. team competed against the Doughty Bulldogs on Friday winning 4 to 0.

The Ellsworth Falcons started out the game with intensity and were able to control the ball in the midfield. The falcons demonstrated their ability to pass to space and to cross the ball into the middle of the field.

Nick Carter lofted an excellent pass into the middle of the field to Bradly Smith. Smith was able to kick the ball into the net for the first goal of the game.  Shortly after, Bradly Smith got his second goal of the game when he anticipated a deflection off the goalie and shot it in the bottom corner of the net.

The Ellsworth Falcons tallied two more goals in the first half by Camden Holmes and Nick Carter and an assist from Riley Grindle.

During the second half the falcons continued to control the ball and worked on communicating and moving to space for support passes. It was clear to see the improvement of the team as a whole throughout the season.

Hunter Dougherty, Jack Lee, and Bradly Smith recorded the fourth shutout of the season to help keep the Ellsworth Falcons undefeated with a 7 – 0 record.
