CASTINE — Senior attacker Ryan Bartlett (Brunswick, ME) scored 4 goals on the afternoon as the Castleton State Spartans knocked of the previously undefeated Maine Maritime Academy Mariners 13-11 in a North Atlantic Conference men’s lacrosse game played Saturday afternoon at Ritchie Field.
The Spartans (5-3, 4-0 NAC) owned the first two periods and lead at the half 8-2.
The Mariners scored nine seconds into the third quarter when Andrew DiSalvo blasted a shot past the Castleton goalie to close the gap to 8-3. MMA would narrow the gap to 8-6 but could never get closer than a two goal deficit.
