Dear Editor:
Some of the news shows us some police officers responsible for heinous shootings.
Wait a minute. My memories are in a very different light.
Many years ago, at Christmas time, my family was very poor. Thought this was another Christmas without presents. Not so. Our police officers held a party. It was great! Cartoons, refreshments and used toys (took an ironing board).
Recently, at Walmart, I told a policeman I was glad to see him. He said he doesn’t hear that very often. He said it is a changing world.
Why would anyone want to be a police officer in these tumultuous times?
How about thanking them?
