Stonewalling works both ways

Dear Editor:

Stephen Fay, whose expertise in oenology and topics culinary is legendary, seems to have forgotten that ditty “What’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.” He laments the liberal stonewalling of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh (the gander) but fails to mention Sen. McConnell’s refusal to even consider Obama nominee Merrick Garland (the goose). Fay’s last sentence in his editorial is “Might we hear what he has to say?” It’s too bad that courtesy was never afforded to Judge Garland.
