Keep the politics out of COVID-19 crisis

Dear Editor:

I have been reading letters to the editor the last three to four weeks where several letters, many times from the same people, have been very critical of the government’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

When reading through these letters, I find most are very political and the writers would and will criticize anything that the present administration is doing or has done. How would the government have large stockpiles of personal protective equipment (PPE) for a flu outbreak that wasn’t even known to exist three months ago? The same writers praise Andrew Cuomo and Janet Mills for their responses and they were just as under prepared.

Let’s keep personal politics out of this fight against COVID-19 and all work to get by it.
