Dear Editor:
I told the good doctor
About all my aches and pains.
I told him how it happened
And showed him where it hurt.
He pushed and tugged
And had me move this way and that.
He squeezed and poked
As I grimaced in pain.
I laughed “I’m no young buck anymore”
And he agreed with me.
He said “At your age
And your lack of activity,
You need physical therapy.”
“You’d best prepare yourself better
Before you go lifting and thrashing.”
I agreed with him, he was right.
I’m not getting old,
I’m just getting older.
