I have noticed over the years that when reporting the results of races, the author often forgets that there are two divisions, not one. Women enter the women’s division, and have their own results. You report on the top 5 or 10 finishers. Often this means there is no mention of any female, and you are actually only reporting on the men’s division. My 12-year-old daughter ran the Frenchman Bay Conservancy trail race this fall and got second place in the women’s division. She was not listed in your article on the race. Her two male classmates, who got second and fourth place, were mentioned. Please stop ignoring the fact that there are two divisions in these races.
