An absolutely inexcusable article

Dear Editor:

I am indescribably upset and concerned that you published a glorification of Nazi activity in our area. The story “Legacy of ‘The Commander’” is completely inappropriate at any level. What could you possibly have been thinking? Our nation’s proudest moment was pounding the hell out of the “National Socialists.” Thousands of local young men gave their lives to defeat the atrocities that are discussed so glibly. Thousands of grieving families see the sacrifices made by their loved ones as tarnished.

I demand an immediate apology, retraction and proactive publication of stories containing the core American values of tolerance and diversity. In the absence of such action it is my belief that your paper should be boycotted and closed!

It is beyond comprehension that you would consider this article acceptable to anyone, anywhere under any circumstances. Have you gone mad?
