People are “liking” the Ellsworth Police Department. We are, too.
The department’s popular Facebook page has established an online rapport between officers and the community they serve. The EPD has used Facebook to track down lost dogs, solve crimes and get the word out about traffic delays. Officers post questions and answer those posed by their nearly 6,000 fans.
Through its efforts, the department is keeping the public better informed and engaged. That’s our job too, and it’s nice to see it done well. We salute the EPD for serving area residents online and off.
