Helpful Halloween hints

Dear Editor:

Many trick-or-treaters plan to resume traditional Halloween fun by hitting the streets of greater Blue Hill Village the evening of Halloween (approximately 4-7 p.m.). Families have heard that many homeowners from around the village, to the top of Union Street, up Pleasant Street, down Parker Point Road, up Tenney Hill and across Beech Hill Road plan to hand out candy. It would be helpful to parents if those households and businesses participating had outside lights on or even a sign indicating you are “open for business” so our children do not bother those not wishing to participate this year. And as always, we thank motorists for driving slowly to protect our little ones on this fun night. Thank you!
