A lost town treasure

Dear Editor:

I read with interest your article about the near dissolution of the Brooklin Planning Board. I have known Catherine Rees for nearly 20 years, and have always slept better knowing she was the chairperson of our Planning Board. I can’t think of another Brooklin resident who is more suited to this job.

Catherine’s professional experience in land management, botany and building codes is impressive and extensive. Even more important, her personal integrity, honesty, energy and intelligence make her a true treasure to the town of Brooklin.

Combined with the loss of the 50 years of experience of the other departing board members, we are truly poorer.
