MORRISVILLE, N.Y. and PORT DICKINSON, N.Y. — Two Perrin brothers died in close succession. Predeceased by their parents, Porter Gale Perrin and Dorothy Merchant Perrin, eldest son, William Burton Perrin, 82, died Dec. 17, 2013, in Morrisville, N.Y., followed 19 days later by youngest son, Peter Anthony “T.P.” Perrin, 79, Jan. 5, 2014, in Port Dickinson, N.Y.
Bill worked at General Motors for many years. He found joy in following professional boxing, playing the saxophone and caring for his husky, Marnie.
Peter was an accomplished writer, poet, musician and world traveler. They were united in their love of Burying Island, Franklin. In their final years, both were overtaken by illness, Bill by strokes, a fall and dementia; Peter by cardiac disease.
They are survived by their middle brother, Stephen G. Perrin, Bar Harbor; Bill’s daughter, Leslie Perrin Wilson, Clinton, Mass.; grandchildren, Anni Wilson of Louisa, Va., Lillian Wilson of Taos, N.M., Monica Kelly, Clinton, Mass.; and great-grandchildren, Cynthia and Jocelyn Kelly; and Steve’s sons, Kenneth Perrin, Ellsworth, and Jesse Perrin, Revere, Mass.
The ashes of both Bill and Peter will be buried later this year in Riverside Cemetery, Hancock. Memorial donations may be sent to Friends of Taunton Bay, P.O. Box 411, Hancock, ME 04640-0411.
