Upon graduating from high school, she worked at Leslie and Godwin Insurance of London. She served as deputy registrar of probate for Hancock County for 13 years. Later, she was employed for many years at the law offices of Hale and Hamlin and Blaisdell and Blaisdell. She also attended to the bookkeeping duties of her husband Arthur’s welding business.
