HANCOCK—Susan Cook Noddin, 68, died Aug. 2, 2010, at her home in Hancock. She was born Jan. 25, 1942, in Woodbury, N.J., the daughter of Gordon Achilles and Elsie L. (Schroeder) Cook.
She attended school in Woodbury, graduating from Woodbury High School. In her early years she worked in the medical field and later was self-employed both making custom lamps and lampshades and teaching others the craft. Susan enjoyed painting, gardening, quilting and reading. She was a member of the Hancock County Quilter’s Guild, and National Alliance for the Mentally Ill of Maine as family support.
Susan is survived by her husband, Kenneth W. Noddin of Hancock; daughters, Gayle Gary and husband, Brian, Jennifer Watson and husband, Jeff; stepdaughter, Ruth A. Foote; stepsons, John K. Noddin and Derek W. Noddin; brother, James Cook and wife, Linda; four grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, at the Ellsworth United Methodist Church, 21 Hancock St., Ellsworth, with Pastor Susan Young officiating.
