Sharon Marie (Kelley) Vatalaro, age 66, died on May 19, 2020, at her home in Hancock. She was born on July 23, 1953, in Fort Fairfield to William Emery and Betty Jane Kelley. She attended Dirigo High School in Dixfield and graduated with the Class of 1971. In 1980, she married Richard A. Vatalaro from Dixfield.
Sharon loved the ocean, hiking, shopping, traveling, reading and gardening. She loved her family very much; her sons were her pride and joy, and she was very proud of their achievements. She was a free spirit who loved everyone. She donated to Goodwill and The Salvation Army and was always on the go leading a very spiritual life.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 40 years, Richard A. Vatalaro, from Hancock; Travis I. Giles and his fiancée Angela Labonte from Whitefield, N.H.; Troy P. Giles from Gorham, N.H.; Trent A. Giles and his wife, Joy, from Lovell; two brothers, Shawn Kelley of South Portland and Bobby Kelley of Littleton, N.H.; two sisters, Mary Cameron of Surry and Karen Wentzel from Florida; six grandchildren, Ian and Kori MacDonald, Ethan and Payton Giles, and Alexis and Chloe Giles.
She was predeceased by her parents and grandson Ian MacDonald.
There will be no services. Sharon wanted everyone to celebrate her life individually. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth.
