Scott Charles Griffin Jr.

Scott (Bud) 52, passed away in his sleep unexpectedly on Oct. 24, 2021. He was born Sept. 30, 1969, in Ellsworth. He was the son of Margaret P. (Thomas) Griffin and Scott C. Griffin Sr.

Scott grew up in Franklin, where he attended Sumner Memorial High School. He had a passion for traveling the U.S., either in his 18-wheeler or alone. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and playing guitar. He loved restoring and painting automobiles, as it showed in his work.

Scott was predeceased by many loved ones, most recently his mom, Margaret (Pat) Griffin.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Melissa Griffin, children, Scott Griffin III, Rosalyn Griffin and fiancé Jason Bugler, Layne Griffin, stepchildren Tony Ranco III and wife, Racheal Cheyanne Ranco.

He is also survived by his parents, Scott and Linda Griffin; sisters April Atwater and husband, Daniel Atwater, Rosie Closson, Melissa Lee and husband, Scott; cousins who were more like brothers James and Gordon J. Thomas; girlfriend Shannon and dog Bentley; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Nov. 13, 2021, at 2 p.m. at the Franklin Vets Club.
