Sandra L. Levesque, 76, died after a brief illness May 8, 2021, at a San Antonio, Texas, hospital. She was born in 1944, in Ellsworth, the daughter of Elsie Scott and Wellington Robbins.
Sandra was an Ellsworth High School graduate. After graduating, she moved to Massachusetts and began a family, giving birth to three children. Sandra was extremely proud of her Native American ancestry and enjoyed creating Native American crafts, especially dream catchers and dolls, for her family and friends. She spent much of her adult life working as a long-haul truck driver, a career that she loved and shared with her husband, William Levesque. Through her constant travels, she was able to enjoy another passion — visiting casinos to try her luck at the slot machines. When at home, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, shopping at yard sales and visiting with family and friends.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 46 years, William Levesque; sons William Manchester and his wife, Monica, of San Antonio, Texas, Michael Manchester and his wife, Kerry, of Shrewsbury, Mass.; stepchildren Michael Levesque, Mark Levesque and Elaine Dodge; six grandchildren, William Elwell and his wife, Danielle, of Portland, Lindsay Moon and her husband, Jon, of Surry, Evelyn and Katherine Manchester of Columbia, Md., Riley and Teagan Manchester of Shrewsbury, Mass.; one sister, Lorraine Gray, and her husband, Virgil, of Ellsworth and many aunts, cousins, great-grandchildren, a niece and nephew. Sandra was predeceased by her daughter, Laurie Elwell of Trenton.
An interment service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at Leland Cemetery. A reception will follow at China Hill restaurant.
