Roxanne E. Hyuck

JACKSONVILLE, FLA. and SORRENTO — Roxanne E. Hyuck, 58, went peacefully home Dec. 11, 2010, after a determined and courageous five-year battle with cancer. She was born March 21, 1952, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Elmer B. Willard and Barbara (Bracy) Willard.

Roxanne grew up and was educated in Sorrento, Guam and graduating in Germany. She worked hard all her life and had a big heart and great faith, especially for animals and others in need. Her favorite time was coming back to Maine in the summer. Enjoying family and friends, off to Sullivan to get strip fish from Dunbar’s and a chat with Philip. Stopping at Sorrento pier to view the boats and smell the real sea air. Last but not least a stop at her special friend Bud Kilton’s for her lobsters.

She is survived by her husband, Darin Hyuck of Middleburg, Fla; two sisters, Cheryl Caplinger of Lamoine and Suzanne Ryan and husband, Phillip, of Jacksonville, Fla.; a special niece, Patricia Caplinger and family of Franklin; a special nephew, Ian Ryan of Jacksonville; her much loved aunt, Dot Estabrook and Bill of Sorrento; and other nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be greatly missed by her stepfather, Leroy Naker and his mother, Minnie, who were always there for her.

Private services will be held in the summer of 2011.

Know when to pay your respects.
