SEDGWICK – Roberta (Gray) Pert, age 83, passed away Dec. 24, 2016, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital. Roberta was born on May 24, 1933, in Sedgwick to Ruth (Astbury) and Kenneth Gray. She lived her whole life in Maine, graduating from George Stevens Academy in the Class of 1951. She worked as cook at Dr. and Mrs. William Parker’s summer home on Parker Point in Blue Hill for 28 years. She was also the supervisor of the shipping room at Penobscot River Greens for many years.
She just loved to visit with family and friends over a cup of tea, and was very proud of going to Bible camp and memorizing over 300 Bible verses.
Roberta is survived by her husband of 52 years, Duane, and her loving dog “Miss Daisy”; her son Brent Harmon and wife, Diane, of Brooksville; two stepchildren, Bill Pert and wife, Mamie, of Franklin, Dawn Milliken and husband, George, of Ellsworth; sister Beverly Walls and husband, Bob; sisters-in-law Florence Conley and Lelia Gray; brothers-in-law Merle Pert Jr. and Colby Pert and wife, Peggy; and many nieces and nephews. She was “Grammie” to Linsey Holst and husband, Nate, Britt Harmon, Britney Lupo, Jessica Pert and husband, Dennis, Gabe Bowden and wife, Erin, Brianya Williams and husband, Ben, Scott Milliken and wife, Breanna, and Matthew Milliken. She was “Great-Grammie” to Trent, Hunter, Orin, Tyler, Amie, Abel, Ethan, Timothy, Gavin, Melody, Farrah, Matthew and Karson. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brothers Wayne and Kermit, and an infant son, Brett.
