HANCOCK—Patricia “Pat” K. Butler, 82, died April 16, 2010, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 8, 1927, in Gouldsboro, the daughter of Theodore J. and Ella M. (Bickford) Young and stepfather, Kenneth Young.
Pat graduated from Bangor High School. In earlier years, she and Charlie enjoyed camping at various campgrounds and dancing with their friends. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1996. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her crossword books. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Alice Bagley and husband, Rudy and Karen Hodgdon and husband, Daryl; grandchildren, Corey Bagley and wife, Stacey, Shawn Bagley and wife, Christine, Lisa Jones and husband, Paul and Michael Hodgdon, all of Hancock; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Katelynn, Jacob, Kaylee Bagley, and Hunter Jones; brothers-in-law, Merle Butler, Wayne Butler and wife, Phyllis; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles “Charlie” Butler, in 2004; and a brother, Roger Young.
Friends are invited to call 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2010, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010.
