Mildred “Millie” Hunt, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 27, 2021. She was born on Aug. 5, 1934, in Ellsworth, the daughter of Burton G. and Lula M. Hardwick.
Millie graduated from Ellsworth High School, Class of 1953. Millie was an avid sportswoman, athlete and neighborhood “mom” to all. Millie enjoyed fishing, kayaking and bowling. She especially loved having breakfast with her friends at her favorite hangout, Sylvia’s Restaurant.
Millie is survived by her son, Neil Jordan, and his wife, Janet, her daughter Christine Jordan and son Edward Jordan and his partner, Virginia, all from Ellsworth; four grandchildren, Roman of Milbridge, Meagan of Eastbrook, Brian of Ellsworth and Kassidy of Hermon; four great-grandchildren, Kaley Barrett, Eastbrook, Drew and Miles Jordan, Milbridge, and Ryett Jordan, Ellsworth; one brother, Clarence Hardwick of Ellsworth, many nieces and nephews and her favorite hairstylist, Colleen Cameron.
Millie was predeceased by her parents, Burton and Lula, her husband, Kenneth “Sonny” Hunt, and her sister Bernice. Millie was also predeceased by her dear friend, Fred Grant from Ellsworth.
