Marion C. Parkman

Marion C. Parkman, 91, went home peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Oct. 20, 2020. She was surrounded by family at the home she shared with her sister for 16 years.

Marion was born May 27, 1929, in South Addison, the daughter of Frank Sr. and Marie Cirone. Marion graduated from Addison High School and Machias Normal School. She enjoyed teaching school for 42 years and made lifelong friends along the way. Marion was a born-again Christian who faithfully attended church and taught Sunday school for many years. She enjoyed traveling, listening to music, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and visiting with family and friends. She made wonderful memories spending time with those she loved.

Marion is survived by her loving sister and caregiver Norma Wilbur, and came to think of Norma’s children and grandchildren as her own. She had close friends, young and old, whom she considered family as well. Marion is survived by many special nieces, nephews, cousins, sisterly cousins, friends and beloved “adopted” daughters and grandchildren. There are too many to list, but you all held a special place in her heart. Marion was predeceased by her parents; former husbands; beloved son Dana Morris; seven siblings and their spouses; and many other loved ones.

A socially distanced graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 23, at Eastern Harbor Cemetery in South Addison.

Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth.
